THE CASE OF 1999
This midnight‐colored dessert is pretty and perfect for a cozy night. Although not as famous as the beloved snickerdoodles, this delicious dish is enjoyed by Lydia and her friends after solving a difficult mystery.
For the filling:
3 cups blueberries
¾ cup sugar
2 Tablespoons flour (preferably einkorn flour)
For the topping:
1 cup quick cooking old-fashioned oats
¾ cup sugar
1 Tablespoon molasses
⅔ cup flour (preferably einkorn flour)
1 stick butter
Preheat the oven to 375°F and grease a 9x9 baking dish. In a mixing bowl, combine the filling ingredients and pour into the dish. Then, except for the butter, mix the topping ingredients. Spread over the pan. Cut the butter into nine squares and arrange them over the dish. Bake for 45 minutes.
