Molasses Float

Molasses Float

That wasn’t all. Lydia’s grandmother had made the most fantastic root beer floats in the world! They contained root beer and plenty of ice cream—with quite a large dollop of molasses stirred up in each glass. It was deemed the “Molasses Float,” and I wasn’t complaining! Apparently, Lia and her grandmother invented the recipe one night, and it had proved quite the success!
KODIAK NOBLEMAN AND THE BULL RIDER MYSTERY
My father and I invented the “Molasses Float” one night and loved it—just like what apparently happened to Lydia and her grandmother. We hadn’t measured anything out when Dad and I made it, but I tested it out with these measurements later, and it worked. Now you can enjoy a Molasses Float, too!

¾ cup of vanilla ice cream
8 ounces of root beer
1 teaspoon of molasses

Put the ice cream into a glass and slowly add the root beer. Then, drizzle in the molasses. Stir everything up very well, so that all three ingredients are mixed into each other. Enjoy!
